Thank you for restoring such an important aspect of my life.

At 5 months post op now, wow I love, love, love my new hip. I feel as if I have been reborn. Sounds corny, but it is true. I have so much more energy now that it is not going towards how bad my hip hurts! The decision to do HR vs. THR was the best decision I have ever made.

This picture was taken last weekend in Pawley's Island, SC just short of 15 weeks post-op. I am pain-free and am now able to enjoy the things I like to do. I am a professor of physical education and athletic training, I also teach gymnastics and practice yoga.

Prior to surgery, I was a mess! I could no longer do the activities I enjoy and daily life just plain hurt. I am feeling fantastic now. I love my new hip and hope for many pain-free years out of it. The difference between now and 6 weeks post-op is amazing relative to ROM and strength. I am also looking forward to running and playing tennis again soon. When my hip went bad I thought my "physical life" was over. Thank you for restoring such an important aspect of my life.

Please share this with Dr. Gross, he is amazing and I am so lucky he is in my hometown or I might have never done HR.

Sincerely,

- L. C.
